Connect Mailbox is a new prototype of a smart and connected mailbox. It notifies you when you receive your mail, by text and a small mailbox installed in your home.

HearBoxes !

The Hearbox is a connected object mainly intented to deaf and partially deaf. With a simple shape and a classy design. A dial will notify you the arrival of a mail, a SMS, a call, or the ring of the door. In addition Hearbox is connected with a bracelet, the Hearband. It will avert you the importance of the notification with a short or a long vibration. Then just check the Hearbox to know exactly which kind of notification is it.

GlassTech

GlassTech is the new device everyone’s heard of. This is the beginning of a new era.

GlassTech is a corporation which was founded in 2016 by five students looking for an idea that would stand for creativity, an idea that would not have been thought of before.

GlassTech stands for glasses and technology. Indeed, our new connected device is a pair of swimming goggles which allows you not to get hurt by hitting up the wall of the swimming pool.

GlassTech is working with Little Bits. Our swimming goggles are 100% made of Little Bits easy-to-use electronic building blocks.

How do the goggles work?

You just have to put the Glasstech goggles on top of your head. The goggles help you to be notified if you’re coming too close to the swimming pool’s wall. You don’t want to get hurt of course.
The life guard is watching you and hits a button which makes the vibrator on your goggles move and vibrate.
Thanks to the notification, you don’t hit the wall and get hurt.

DJ en herbe

We are a group of three students of IIM in Paris La Defense. By using the little bits we imagined a connected object that could send a picture and a music to our beloved when their alarms are ringing. You choose what you want to send and by using our RememberMe device, you are always close to the people you love.

We are a three students equip, our concept is based in offering to our beloved the object we have create : a little robot head designed with huge lips and an antenna. It can be used in various situations, like when one of the couple have to work far away from the other, or in any case of estrangement.
When the object starts up, it recognizes the alarm sound and diffuse gradually a music choosed before to make waking up the other person, and at the same time it sends on the smartphone a random picture illustrating the couple or any other romantic memory from a facebook album (thanks to IFTTT).

Kara – Connected Jewel

It is a customizable jewel that reacts visually to notifications and social interactions. Via an application, you can choose colours on your jewel wich shall react to notifications you’ll get on your phone.
We wanted to include a customizable dimension to these jewels we wear everyday, that everyone sees. It’s a way to wear one’s favourite colour, all the while being notified with news messagaes and new events that you’d normally get on your cell-phone.

UnityBand

Victor NUNES, Arthur BRUGGHEMAN, Bilal BENNOUNA, Victoria CARNEVALI, Louis BERNARD.

We are from a french university specialized in multimedia, and this week we had a project on interactive design that we must «create» a connected object based on little bits.

Our project consists on creating a bracelet connected with other bracelets, so when you shake hands with your friends, a music will be played on the same time by the bracelets.

For the moment, we made our bracelet with one usb generator which is connected with one makey makey, which active one buzzer and one vibrator. This system is the same for all bracelets.

It’s customizable, so you can have a different sound with each one of your friends, and you can make your handshake one of a kind and pretty cool too. It’s all up to you and your imagination.

BeQuiet Box

Our project is called the « Be Quiet Box ». It’s made for a professional use.
It’s a box that shows if a clerk is available or not. There are two lights on the box, one green and one red. If the light is red, it means the clerk is in a hurry and doesn’t want anybody to disturb him. If he receives notifications he won’t be notified.
If the green light is on. It means the clerk is free and he will be notified when he has notifications. A small pannel will move to tell him he received a text message, an email or anything related to his smartphone.

CONNECTED CHAIR

Connected Chair est un concept de compteur de places assises et libres pensé par Bastien Cohen, Florian Roger, Robin Chaffard, Romain Demaine et Alexis Durieu.
We’re from Paris la Defense and we have created a concept about a « connected chair »

So what’s a connected chair ? What is the use of a connected chair ?

As the concept of parking place, we took the idea of showing the number of free places in a restaurant, a cinema or library.
When someone sit down on the connected chair, the weight of the person gives a pression to the captor
and sends a message to say that one chair is occuped on a phone or a counter. The captor take into account from 15 kilogramme
to avoid that a chair is occuped if someone put a bag on it.
There is a delay of 10 minutes before the captor says that the chair is free. It’s usefull if someone goes to the toilet and wants
to go back to his place.

We used the LED to indicate if the chair is occuped. If the light is on, it’s occuped, if not, the light is off.
We programmed on IFTTT to send a message on a phone when someone is sitted.

Animalogie

Animalogie prototype is distributor of biscuits made for pets.  Your pet just has to put its paws on a board and animalogie will serve the biscuits. Moreover, you can block animalogie with your phone so your pet will not abuse food and become fat.

Ouilule

Ouilule is a new connected object intented for people who are following regular treatment. Indeed, this device, is presented as a drug container that you schedule. At the chosen moment, an audible and visual signal will sound to warn you that you must take your treatment. We also added a feature that allows you to receive a notification directly on your phone.

Triciel

The pyramid is connected in Wi-Fi, connected on your social networks Facebook, Twitter and Snapchat.

Every face corresponds to one of the social networks and contains the logo of the network in question. The utility of this connected object is simply to warn you by a LED of different color when you have a notification on a network. To you afterward to look on the support of your choice at your notification.

Inside TRICIAL, we implanted an electronic system connected with the LED which are permanently connected on your accounts on which you are registered.

RememberMe

WaterPlant

This project came from the mind of five IIM students.
Our invention, named WaterPlant, is a connected pot which reminds you, thanks to a LED, to water your plants. The pot is connected to an online clock and it sends you a signal at a set time.

To help achieve that, we used a cloudbit, which is connected to receive information from the internet. We also used an arduino to switch off the LED when you press a button. A program was coded to achieve that.

To program a date, you have to connect to IFTTT and type the date and time of the week of when you want the LED to light.

Our prototype will be made of a circuit inside a cup of coffee. We also put a living plant of top of the cup, to remind people the purpose of our product.

Wish-touch

Wish Touch project is a prototype of a new game connected. The principle: the game of « Wish » revisited thanks to littles bits, Arduino card ans fruits.

Every player has a choice between 2 actions: either press once the apple and cross « Wish » to his left neighbor, or press twice to invert the direction of the game. If one of player makes a mistake by pressing his fruit when it is not his turn or forgets to press his fruit, the game emits a « beep » to indicate that it lost the game.

How it works : fruits serve as buzzers and are connected with components and to the Arduino, coded to respect rules of the game.

Enthusiastic and determined, us, 6 students of the Institute of the Internet and the Multimédia are ready to revolutionize student nights with our singular invention!

CoolingPlate

CoolingPlate is a connected trivet to cool and alert you when your meal is at the right temperature.
When you set on the potentiometer, it will light up a red LED and will activate an electric fan. After 3 minutes ish, the red LED will turn into a green LED to show you that your meal is ready. The electric fan will shut down and activate the CloudBits. This will send you a message on your phone to alert you that your meal is at the right temperature, if you are not in your kitchen, for example.
To link your phone with the Cloud you need to have a IFTTT account. Then you can choose if you want to receive notifications on your phone, on your mail adress etc…
CoolingPlate is nice for people who usually burn them with their meal, because they are not sensitive to touch, or just absentminded.

Genius Glove

We decided to create a glove logged in to ease the lives of users.
You will be notified if someone called you while you were spirited ride motorcycle.
Our team consists of Alexandre, Rémi, Jules, Samson and Thibaut

Step 1: We sought prototype we wanted to achieve and we discover the utilization of the Little Bits elements.

Step 2: We searched the elements we needed for the creation of the prototype and create our first prototype. At this point we can begin to spread our project on social networks Then we inserted the “cloudbits”, which connect the prototype to a cellphone.

Step 3: Once the prototype finalized, we filmed a situation featuring the use of the glove.

    Nous sommes un groupe constitué de trois personnes : Benjamin, qui s’est occupé de la programmation arduino et de la mise en place des little bits ; Mohamed, qui a créé le logo, programmé le site web ; et Pierre Rafoni, qui a modélisé l’enveloppe de l’objet puis l’a imprimé en 3D, et s’est occupé du communiqué de presse. Enfin nous nous sommes tous occupés de propager le concept sur différents réseaux sociaux, comme Facebook, Twitter ou encore Tumblr.
    Le concept d’objet connecté que nous avons imaginé est le suivant : Une tête de robot designée de manière romantique que l’on offre à son conjoint. Elle s’éveille lorsque l’alarme ou le réveil de la personne se met en marche, lorsqu’elle entend ce son caractéristique. Elle diffuse alors une musique choisie par l’offreur et envoie une photographie commémorative (souvenir, photo du couple, etc.) directement sur le smartphone de la cible.
    La phase de prototypage et de présentation a lieu du lundi 22/02 ou vendredi 26/02. Nous nous proposons de sortir le produit sous deux semaines, soit le 6 mars. Nous avons travaillé tout du long au pôle Léonard de Vinci, à La Défense, et avons utilisé le FabLab afin d’avoir accès aux littlebits, aux imprimantes 3D de type RepRap et Makerbot.
    Nous avons utilisé le logiciel de programmation Arduino afin de configurer les littlebits à notre demande, nous avons codé sur Sublim Text en utilisant le langage HTML5 et CSS3, enfin le logiciel Autodesk 3DSMax nous a été utile afin de préparer l’objet à l’impression et de vérifier les tailles de chaque composant.

    L’équipe Remember Me

    Le scénario type de l’utilisation de l’objet connecté RememberMe pourrait être représenté de la façon suivante :

    – Un jeune homme, Stéphane, est en couple avec Marie, ils ont 22 ans tous les deux. Stéphane va partir pendant deux mois pour son stage professionnel de fin d’études, il aura assez peu de moyens de communication et il sait que Marie supporte mal la distance.

    Il pense alors à RememberMe, ce petit objet qui tous les matins la réveillera tout en douceur en lui diffusant des musiques qu’ils avaient l’habitude d’écouter ensemble et en lui envoyant automatiquement une photo ou image qui lui redonnera le sourire.

    Stéphane a déjà des idées pour ces images : les photographies de leur voyage au Laos l’an passé, les illustrations qu’il a fait pour elle et qu’il a scanné, leurs souvenirs intimes de couple…

    Il désire cependant lui faire la surprise et invite Marie à mettre son réveil/smartphone à côté de la petite tête de robot designée avec de voluptueuses lèvres qu’il lui a offert avant son départ, et à découvrir ce qui se passera.

    Après les douloureux aurevoirs, Marie est d’humeur maussade, et sait que le réveil sera difficile le lendemain matin pour aller au travail, seule dans l’appartement. Qu’elle n’est pas sa surprise d’entendre en s’extirpant des bras de Morphée sa musique préférée qui passe, puis de recevoir au même moment sur son téléphone une photo de leur couple en train de s’embrasser devant le feu d’artifice du nouvel an à Barcelone il y a deux ans.

    Peut être que ces deux mois passeront plus facilement, après tout.

    Déroulé du projet

    Jour 1
    Premier contact avec les mécanismes little bits et découverte des possibilités qu’elles offrent. Choix du projet et idéalisation du design de la pièce. Mise en place des objectifs et répartition des tâches. Début de la modélisation de l’objet et découverte du logiciel arduino. Création d’une page facebook du projet.

    Jour 2
    Poursuite de la programmation en Arduino et initialisation des programmes IFTTT et du lien entre l’objet et le cloud. Finalisation de la modélisation du prototype et début de la seconde modélisation contenant les contraintes liées à l’impression 3D. Début de rédaction du communiqué de presse, création du site web RememberMe et pages twitter/tumblr.

    Jour 3
    Pas de cours. Cependant finalisation de la modélisation pour l’impression et impression de l’antenne de l’objet. Continuation de la rédaction du communiqué de presse. Finition du site web.

    Aujourd’hui nous avons pratiquement terminer le concept de la chaise connectée qui indique lorsque que quelqu’un s’assoit sur celle-ci.
    Nous avons créer le système à partir de « littlebit » avec comme éléments ; une diode, un capteur de pression, une carte arduino modèle Leornardo et le cloudbit pour envoyer les données.
    Via la système IFTTT et le code arduino, nous avons pu coder pour envoyer un sms lorsque que quelqu’un est assis.
